A Divine Encounter

In the beginning, there were three passionate souls—Kelley Opsal, Lisa Richard, and myself—united by a common dream: to create a film that would propel Kelley and Lisa's daughters' acting careers.

Little did we know this journey would take an unexpected turn guided by divine intervention. God spoke to my heart through the pages of the book of Daniel, setting the stage for a complete script rewrite that would redefine our aspirations.

Starting from a simple 7-page, one-location short film to a 2-day 20-page episode was a giant leap and tested our abilities. But everyone was up to any challenge thrown at them. One thing that sparked us was the fact that one of our good friends, Anna Stadler wanted to take part in this.

Kelley Opsal contacted her mom Amy about this collaboration on the film set. Now, Anna was someone I always wanted to work with on set since I received her audition for a role in our upcoming feature film: The Son. When she was interested in this project, it took my drive and energy to a new level.

You would never think in a million years that a 30-man crew and a stellar cast would want to take part in a project on, at the time, a $0.00 dollar budget. But God literally had his hand in this project from day one. He knew what we didn't know, and the budget went from 0 dollars to 7500 dollars almost overnight.

Race Against Time which was in the development stage, was a story all in itself, showing God's hand all over the project.

From Dream to Reality

With unwavering determination and countless revisions, our vision expanded beyond the boundaries of our initial imagination. "Race Against Time" transformed into a heart-pounding series, brimming with action and profound inspiration. This was no ordinary journey; it tested our limits, pushing us to reach new heights and embrace the power of dreams.

The action scenes would not have been possible without David's connections to none other than Kevin Rego. He is a stunt legend in Hollywood and works alongside James Sang Lee. He pushed his abilities on set and brought with him stunt performers Timothy Kittelstad, Megan O'Ryan, and Jayson Wadzinski, who all exceeded my vision 100-fold. To see this project from the start to where it is now, is just unbelievable.

Now, we are planning out the remaining scenes to finish the filming on this project, and God brought yet another fantastic creative in our lives: Jacqueline Kelly. She has a long rap sheet for some significant productions that she has taken part in. With editing expertise, this film will cross the finish line and make this indeed a Hollywood-level production.

I'm just going to say it how it is; I am blown away by all the connections this film has brought thus far. Just take a glance at the magnitude of this power set that God brought forth.

Joined by a community of passionate supporters, we raised an astounding $7,500 through crowdfunding—an inspiring testament to the strength of unity and shared dreams.

David isn't a guy that will sit back and do nothing, he is a true go-getter with a very uplifting personality. David is even currently working on a self-funded feature movie called: "Uncivil War." When he showed me the trailer to it, you are completely blown away by his sheer abilities and talents. I am so honored to have this man part of our film family, and I look forward to seeing not only his feature but our series on streaming platforms and theaters soon.
